136 Long Acre, London WC2E 9AD. T: 020 7379 5353Email: bookings@lpdj.co.uk

One of the most successful - and largest - restaurants in Covent Garden, an area strangely renowned more for quantity than quality, the atmosphere buzzes at Palais du Jardin.

The cuisine is French, and generally plays it safe, but consistently, rather than being adventurous, dishes could include an excellent dish of crab cakes with lemon butter or steamed lobster and scallops with tagliatelle in a herb stew whilst desserts run from banana tart Tatin with rum caramel to poached pear with raspberries.
